FAQ
Anything that leaves a property unsafe, open to the weather or open to entry: active water leaks, storm and fallen-tree damage, vehicle impacts and other structural damage that needs shoring, broken windows and doors that need boarding up, and fire-damaged buildings that need making safe. Our crews also handle roof tarping, water extraction, temporary power and lighting, and debris clean-up.
Put people first. If the building may be structurally unsafe, get everyone out and stay out. Keep well back from downed power lines and call 911 to report them. If water is pouring in and the main shut-off valve is safe to reach, turn it off. Then, only if it is safe, move valuables away from the damage and take photos for your insurer.
Call PCC Roofing directly on 604-554-0963. Our roofing division runs its own 24/7 emergency roofing crew, so an active roof leak or a storm-damaged roof goes straight to the people who tarp and repair roofs every day. For everything else, from flooding and fallen trees to board-up, shoring and fire make-safe, use the Pacific Coast Contracting emergency line on this page.
Yes. We document the damage with photos and a written scope and can coordinate with your adjuster, so the claim starts from a clear record of the site. Whether the damage is covered is your insurer’s decision, and it helps to tell them about it as soon as you can. Once the property is safe, the restoration and rebuild can run through us as one contractor.
It depends on the damage and on the work needed to make the property safe. Make-safe work, such as tarping, boarding up, shoring or water extraction, is scoped and explained before it starts, so you know what the crew is doing and why. The follow-on repair gets its own written quote once the property is secure and the full extent of the damage is known.
We respond across 17 Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley cities, from North Vancouver, Vancouver and Richmond east through Burnaby, Surrey and Langley to Abbotsford, Mission and Chilliwack. Our Service Locations page lists every one, each with its own local page. If your property is just outside them, call the emergency line and ask.
